Position Overview:

ERIS has an immediate opening for a Regional Account Manager (RAM), reporting to the Director of Sales Canada, indirectly to the Senior Vice President of North American Sales, to service Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada. The ideal candidate will be able to reliably commute to our headquarters in Toronto and work effectively from their home office. ERIS offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a salary plus commission and benefits.

The person fulfilling this position is responsible for the sale of environmental due diligence products and services used in environmental site assessments for commercial real estate transactions. The RAM sells products and services using organizational skills and software, product knowledge, and customer knowledge to assist customers in applying the use of the products/services to their needs resulting in customer sales, retention, and revenue generation.


Specific Responsibilities and Daily Tasks
• Identify sales opportunities within the existing client base and identify, contact, and retain new customer prospects.
• Create account plans and strategies to retain and grow a client base in a designated territory.
• Research and develop potential customers in Salesforce.com (pipeline management); research and follow current trends with key competitors.
• Provide product demonstration presentations to clients to position ERIS product advantages.
• Execute marketing and sales strategies to ensure delivery of products to the new customer base.
• Use Salesforce.com diligently for all client and prospective client communications including phone calls, conference calls, email communications, and meetings.
• Promote and sell ERIS Direct to developers, legal services, financial services, engineers, and environmental consultants.
• Promote and sell Scriva, ERIS’ report authoring platform, to environmental consultants and engineers.
• Strive to exceed all sales goals, including year-on-year revenue growth of customers through package migration, unit growth, meaningful relationships, consultative selling, and account management.
• Travel throughout the territory every quarter (Q1, Q2, Q3 & Q4) to meet customers face to face.

Job requirements

Knowledge & Educational Requirements

• Degree in an environmentally oriented field such as engineering, geology, or computer sciences preferred.

• Work experience in an environmentally related industry is preferred.

• Working knowledge of or interest in learning geography and spatial concepts considered assets.

Skills/Experience

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sales/business development/account management.

• Customer-focused – establishing and maintaining effective relationships, gaining customer trust and respect.

• Highly motivated to exceed goals; constantly and consistently striving to be a top performer; very bottom-line oriented; steadfastly driving yourself and others for superior results.

• Ability to communicate technical information to customers via a proficient understanding of and ability to navigate applications: Salesforce.com, Zoom, Teams, MS Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), etc.

• Excellent time management skills are a must.

• Brilliant communication skills, written and verbal, are required.

• Demonstrated research, problem-solving, and organizational skills with superb customer service.

• Diligent and quick learner with a positive attitude and an outgoing amiable personality.

• Ability to work varying hours as business demands.

• Valid driver’s license and Passport required.

• French verbal and written communication ideal.
